Northwerk Platform
A modular operations platform for businesses that need their portals, operational data, and ERP-connected workflows on one foundation instead of scattered across vendors, spreadsheets, and brittle integrations.
The platform is being built from patterns that show up again and again in real systems work: portals customers avoid, operational history rebuilt from exports, and ERP data nobody can question quickly. It runs as a single deployable appliance, backend services, a shared application shell, and pluggable modules, so a deployment can be shaped to a business without forking the product. Manufacturing is the first vertical slice, chosen deliberately because our home region is dense with manufacturers, and the live demo runs a complete sample manufacturer.

REAL_WORLD_ORIGIN
The real problems cross portals, operational data, and ERP at the same time.
A portal customers avoid, production numbers trapped in spreadsheets, and an ERP that is hard to question are usually the same problem wearing different clothes: systems that do not talk to each other and data nobody fully trusts.
The platform direction is one connected foundation those workflows can share, instead of another isolated tool bolted on the side.
03_DEVELOPMENT_ROADMAP
PHASE 01
Connected portal, visibility, and ERP-aware workflows
- Role-based portal access for customers, dealers, and internal users
- Production and operational visibility built on shared, trusted definitions
- ERP-connected records, orders, shipments, invoices, and documents, in one place
CURRENT_STATE
Live demo, implementation-led
A public demo runs a complete sample manufacturer today: the commercial spine from RFQ to invoice, documents with version history, KPI dashboards, and guardrailed AI chat over the company's own data. Deeper operational modules are at earlier stages, graded below. It is implementation-led, not a self-serve SaaS sign-up.
Best experienced in the live demo first, then as an early-partner pilot or design-direction conversation.
PHASE 02
Deeper modules and assisted access to business data
Expansion into quoting and RFQ flows, maintenance context, and AI-assisted question answering over approved ERP and operational data, added module by module as each is proven with early partners.
SECURITY_ARCHITECTURE
Designed for organization-aware access
The platform is built around clear tenant boundaries, role-based permissions, and licensing so internal staff, dealers, and customers each see the right data, and so a deployment can be entitled to exactly the modules a business is paying for. Tenant isolation is enforced in the database itself with row-level security that fails closed, and that isolation is tested in CI.
PLATFORM_FOUNDATION
One appliance, shared services, and pluggable modules, so customer-facing workflows, internal operations, and ERP-connected services sit on the same foundation instead of becoming separate one-off apps.
BACKEND
Rust service layer
Tokio and Axum services on PostgreSQL host business rules, module APIs, and the integration surface for source-system adapters and entitlements, where performance and deployment flexibility matter.
FRONTEND
Shared module shell
A React and Vite application shell presents internal and external workflows through one navigation model, so modules compose into a single product instead of fragmenting into isolated tools.
PLATFORM_MODULES
Capabilities composed on the same appliance. They mature at different speeds, graded honestly below, and a deployment is entitled to the ones a business actually needs.
B2B Customer Portal
LIVE IN DEMOAccount, order, shipment, invoice, and document workflows for dealers, distributors, and direct B2B customers, modeled against ERP data. Running publicly in the demo today with a full sample company.
Production Visibility
LIVE IN DEMOShift, work-center, and order-level KPI views on shared definitions instead of competing spreadsheets: on-time delivery, machine utilization, and scrap rate with drilldown, plus governed custom dashboards.
Business Data Assistant
LIVE IN DEMOConversational, retrieval-based access to approved documents and operational data, tenant-scoped, with hard guardrails: the assistant can read and cite records but cannot change them, by construction.
ERP Health Monitor
SCOPINGMonitoring for stale records, broken workflows, and malformed transactions before they become accounting, inventory, or customer-facing problems.
Maintenance / CMMS
ROADMAPWork orders, preventive maintenance, downtime, and parts history tied back to production context in the same system.
Document & Approval Workflows
ROADMAPRouting, approvals, and document handling for the processes that still live in email threads and shared drives, tied to the same records as the rest of operations.
