0.1 SYSTEM_ORIGIN
One partner.
Full stack.
Northwerk is a consultancy founded on a single premise: the person you talk to is the person doing the work. No account managers. No junior hand-offs. Just senior expertise integrated directly into your environment.
Base: Marshfield, Wisconsin
Focus: Enterprise Systems Integration
Built in complex environments.
From server racks to facility floors, I don't just write code. I understand the systems, the infrastructure, and the real-world constraints behind every solution.
Direct access to the builder.
Communication latency kills projects. You work directly with me, the person designing and building your systems. No layers in between.
Technical deep-dives.
I skip the high-level consulting jargon and go straight to the root cause, the protocol, and the solution.
Built from the infrastructure up.
FOUNDER: CODY KING
I'm Cody King. I grew up in rural Central Wisconsin, and I've spent my career solving technology problems for businesses in this part of the state and beyond. My path didn't start with software. It started with hardware and high stakes, managing infrastructure for a major dealer group during a period of rapid growth. When the company was acquired, my role scaled overnight from SMB management to mid-market and eventually enterprise-level operations.
I led acquisition integrations across dozens of sites, bridging the gap between disparate legacy systems and modern unified networks. Along the way I moved into development, building the tools the enterprise needed: production data platforms, executive portals, ERP integrations, and EDI pipelines.
That breadth, from the server rack to the source code, isn't an accident. Central Wisconsin businesses deserve better than overpriced consultancies that send junior staff, or MSPs that can't build anything beyond a ticket queue. Northwerk was founded to fill that gap: a single partner who can assess your infrastructure, build the applications your business actually needs, and turn your data into something you can act on.
I've always wanted to run my own business. After years of building solutions for other companies across multiple industries, Northwerk was the natural next move.

0.3 HOW_I_WORK
How the work runs.
Engagements follow a simple path: understand the problem, prove it with findings, scope the fix, build it, and support it. Not every engagement uses every step, and the goal is always the root cause and a working system.
Discovery
A short, direct conversation about what is breaking or what you are trying to build, who it affects, and which systems are already in play. No commitment, no pitch deck.
Assessment
A focused review of the system, workflow, data, or infrastructure to find the real root cause and produce clear findings instead of guesses. Often the fastest way to stop fixing symptoms.
Scope
Turning findings into a defined plan: outcomes, milestones, and the systems and constraints the work has to respect. This is where surprises get removed before the build, not during it.
Build
Senior hands on the actual work: software, portals, integrations, reporting, or infrastructure, built around how the business really operates and tied to the systems you already run.
Support
Ongoing development, integration, data, or technical-leadership support for when the work is broader than a single project and needs continued senior ownership.
The same work runs under three engagement models. See the service lines for what each covers in practice.
